Brutal Assault 2026 is the 29th edition of the extreme music festival, taking place on 5–8 August 2026 at the historic Fortress Josefov near Jaroměř. The programme features over 150 bands across all genres — from black metal, death metal and grindcore through hardcore and metalcore to experimental and industrial projects.
Confirmed headliners are Body Count, Periphery, Primus, Wardruna and Cradle of Filth. Other performers include Alcest, Amorphis, Animals As Leaders, Arthur Brown, Coroner, Cryptopsy, Deafheaven, Death Angel, Deicide, Draconian, Elder, Immolation, Insomnium, Internal Bleeding, Marduk, Municipal Waste, Septicflesh, The Sisters of Mercy, Triptykon, Vader and dozens more. Newly added bands include Ahab, Crowbar, LVMEN, Violent Magic Orchestra, Filth, Patriarcha, Altars Ablaze, Nahum and První Hoře. Band Fallujah has cancelled — they will be replaced by Cryptic Shift; Chelsea Grin and Rise of the Northstar have also dropped out of the programme.
One-day tickets are available (only 400 per day), as well as tickets for juniors (13–17 years), people with disabilities and children under 12.99 years free. Rhythm courses and the Brutal Kids Camp are organised for children. The festival is entirely cashless — payments are made via chip on a wristband. The site is fully accessible.
Special BRUTAL EXPRESS trains or bus services from Prague, Hradec Králové, Trutnov, Náchod and other cities serve the venue. Tickets and travel documents are available at brutalassault.cz.
