Patriarcha are a blackened death metal band from Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, active since 2011. They found their artistic footing around 2018 and broke through with the debut full-length Tumulus (2021) on Gothoom Productions, building a dense, melodic sound with Slovak-language lyrics and Latin album titles. A fourth record, Enyo, is planned for independent release in 2026.
Patriarcha was confirmed in the line-up of the Brutal Assault 2026 festival, which takes place August 5-8 at the Josefov fortress near Jaroměř.
The band is working on their fourth album Enyo, which they plan to release independently - without a record label - in 2026.
In April 2024 they released the single Charon, which became the band's third most-listened-to track on Spotify.
Patriarcha advanced from Wacken Metal Battle Slovakia 2024 in Košice to the next round of the competition.
