BRUTAL ASSAULT 2026
The 29th edition of the extreme music festival at Fortress Josefov with over 150 bands. Headliners include Body Count, Periphery, Primus, Wardruna and Cradle of Filth.
Periphery are an American progressive metal band from Bethesda, Maryland, founded in 2005 by guitarist Misha Mansoor. They are widely credited as pioneers of djent - a subgenre built on syncopated rhythms, extended-range guitars, and dense polyrhythmic riffing. Their 2015 double album Juggernaut placed two records simultaneously in the Billboard 200 Top 20, and their eighth studio album A Pale White Dot followed in May 2026.
Periphery released their eighth studio album A Pale White Dot on May 15, 2026 through their own label 3DOT Recordings - for the first time since Juggernaut (2015), the album has a different name than the band itself.
The band announced a twenty-date fall North American tour A Pale White Dot Tour, which starts on October 22 in Philadelphia and ends on November 18 in Raleigh.
Periphery performed at the Download Festival 2026 in Castle Donington in England as part of the European tour for the album A Pale White Dot.
On the album A Pale White Dot, the band recorded for the first time on six-string 30" baritone guitars tuned to F standard - a major seventh lower than standard tuning.
In fall 2025, Periphery completed an American tour as the opening act for Spiritbox along with Honey Revenge, performing over forty concerts throughout the year.
