About

Periphery are an American progressive metal band from Bethesda, Maryland, founded in 2005 by guitarist Misha Mansoor. They are widely credited as pioneers of djent - a subgenre built on syncopated rhythms, extended-range guitars, and dense polyrhythmic riffing. Their 2015 double album Juggernaut placed two records simultaneously in the Billboard 200 Top 20, and their eighth studio album A Pale White Dot followed in May 2026.
