Draconian are a Swedish gothic/doom metal band from Säffle, active since 1994. Built on the contrast between Anders Jacobsson's harsh death-metal vocals and expressive clean female singing, the band has released eight studio albums on Napalm Records over three decades. Their slow, heavy riffs, gothic atmosphere, and poetic lyrics on themes of death, love, and existential darkness have made them one of the defining acts of the second wave of gothic doom metal.
