Cryptic Shift are a technical death/thrash metal band from Leeds, UK, active since 2013. Their debut album Visitations from Enceladus (2020, Blood Harvest Records) earned widespread critical acclaim for its sci-fi-driven, progressive extreme metal - often self-described as 'Phenomenal Technological Astrodeath'. In February 2026 they released their sophomore record Overspace & Supertime via Metal Blade Records, drawing 9/10 and above from Metal Hammer UK and Deaf Forever Germany.
