NAHUM is a death/thrash metal band from Ostrava, Czech Republic, active since 2004. Their sound draws on Vader, Pestilence and Bolt Thrower, with lyrics centred on apocalypse, war and chaos. The 2018 album "Within Destruction" earned the band recognition across Europe, and their fifth record "Old World Dead" followed in December 2025, mixed by Wojtek Wiesławski (Behemoth, Decapitated) at Hertz Studio.
The fifth studio album "Old World Dead" was released on December 19, 2025 on CD under Smile Music Records and on vinyl and cassette under Dead Maggoty Productions.
The British website Velvet Thunder named "Old World Dead" one of the best extreme metal albums of 2025 and praised the production and compositions.
NAHUM placed 4th in the band category at the Czech metal awards Břitva 2025.
The album release party for "Old World Dead" took place on March 28, 2026 at the Barrák Club in Ostrava.
In April 2026, the band started the Old World Dead tour 2026 with concerts in Germany (Selb), Prague, and Šumperk.
