About

Cradle of Filth are a British extreme metal band from Suffolk, formed in 1991. Their sound blends black, gothic and death metal with theatrical staging, symphonic arrangements and lyrics rooted in horror and gothic literature. Frontman Dani Filth (Daniel Lloyd Davey) is the sole original member and has steered the band through more than three decades, making them one of the most recognisable names in extreme metal worldwide. Their fourteenth studio album, The Screaming of the Valkyries, was released in March 2025 via Napalm Records.
