Cradle of Filth is a British extreme metal band from Suffolk, formed in 1991. Their music blends black metal, gothic metal and death metal with theatrical flair, symphonic arrangements and lyrics rooted in horror and gothic literature. Albums such as Dusk... and Her Embrace (1996) and Cruelty and the Beast (1998) are among their best-known works.
