About the venue
Hotel Medlov is situated on the shore of Medlov Pond in the village of Fryšava pod Žákovou horou in the heart of the Žďár Hills. The site's history dates to 1933, when it was built by entrepreneur Leoš Stehlík; the original functionalist building was designed by architect Alois Wachsman. Between 1968 and 1973 the hotel underwent a major reconstruction in the Brussels modernist style by architect Jiří Herzán, forming a unique architectural ensemble. It offers accommodation, a restaurant, a wellness centre, and conference facilities for up to 500 guests.
