Architecture Day: Fryšava pod Žákovou horou - Night Experience Tour: From Cellars to Sauna

A night tour of the hotel's technical facilities and historic spaces - boiler room, coal storage, and original sauna - guided by the hotel owners Jan, Martin, and Klára Piskořová.

The functionalist building was constructed in 1933 by entrepreneur Leoš Stehlík according to designs by architect Alois Wachsman. Originally it served as a hotel with a girls' camp. Following nationalization, the building underwent extensive renovation between 1968 and 1973 under architect Jiří Herzán's direction, giving it its current appearance with a distinctive "V"-shaped roof on columns, metal railings, and characteristic birch plaster.

The all-day programme features a series of themed tours - from architecture through artworks and original furnishings to the building's technical infrastructure. It also includes a tour of the Antonín Šuman exhibition and his iconic chairs in the hotel spaces, plus special routes with views.
