The Retz Symphony Wind Orchestra (SBO Retz) comprises students, alumni, and teachers from the region around the Austrian town of Retz. Since its founding in 2003, the ensemble has regularly participated in prestigious competitions and festivals. Under the direction of conductor Gerhard Forman, the orchestra will perform a concert dedicated to the long-standing partnership between the sister cities of Retz and Znojmo.

About the venue: Alšovka

Alšovka is a building of the South Moravian Museum in Znojmo, located on Alšova Street and named after the painter Mikoláš Aleš. Originally opened in 1909 as the Emperor Franz Joseph Municipal Girls' Lyceum, it later served as a teacher training institute and an agricultural secondary school. After reconstruction it became the museum's central depository, exhibition hall, and regional education centre. The museum hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural events here.

Po studiu herectví na JAMU v Brně (absolvoval v roce 1986) působil v letech 1986–91 v brněnském Divadle Na provázku, kde se výrazně podílel na řadě představení – hrál mimo jiné: Hraběte z Hvězdy v Katynce z Heilbronnu, Huga v Zahradní slavnosti, Poutníka v Labyrintu světa a Lusthausu srdce, Uie v Baletu makábr, Rašína v Rozrazilu, několik shakespearovských rolí vytvořil v inscenacích Shakespearománie I. a II., v Tanečních hodinách hrál postavu pojmenovanou On I. atd. Další jeho angažmá bylo v letech 1993–96 v pražském Činoherním klubu (z rolí např.: Andrew v Sexu noci svatojánské, Figaro ve Figarově svatbě, Liboveský ve Vodním družstvu, Aston ve Správcovi aj.). Jeho jméno se od tohoto období objevuje i v dalších divadlech, kde občas hostuje (Divadlo Archa, Viola, Divadlo v Řeznické, Divadlo v Dlouhé ad.). Členem činohry Národního divadla se stal v roce1999.

About: Royal Republic

Formed in 2007, Royal Republic is a Swedish rock quartet from Malmö consisting of Adam Grahn (vocals/guitar), Hannes Irengård (guitar), Jonas Almén (bass) and Per Andreasson (drums). The band's sound combines energetic garage rock with glam and disco-rock influences, establishing themselves through extensive European touring and performances at major festivals including Rock am Ring, Download and Hellfest.
