IDLES
British punk-rock band IDLES performs at Prague's Forum Karlín.
IDLES are a British post-punk band from Bristol, formed in 2009, comprising vocalist Joe Talbot, guitarists Mark Bowen and Lee Kiernan, bassist Adam Devonshire and drummer Jon Beavis. They broke through internationally with Joy as an Act of Resistance (2018), which earned a Mercury Prize nomination, and have since placed two albums - Ultra Mono (2020) and TANGK (2024) - at number one on the UK Albums Chart. The band is known for politically charged lyrics, ferocious live shows and a devoted fanbase.
Album TANGK (February 2024) debuted at number 1 on the British album chart - the band's second number 1 single in their career after Ultra Mono (2020).
At the Grammy Awards 2024, the band received two nominations: for Best Rock Album (CRAWLER) and Best Rock Performance ("Crawl!").
In summer 2024, the band performed as a headliner on the Other Stage of the Glastonbury festival and completed sold-out tours across North America.
On July 7, 2026, a performance by IDLES at Prague's Forum Karlín is confirmed.
In 2026, the band continues an extensive European tour - among the stops are the festivals Pinkpop (Landgraaf), Primavera Sound Porto, and Open'er Festival.
