The South Moravian Museum showcases prehistoric and early medieval archaeological finds from the region, including rare ceramics, metalwork, jewellery, and weapons that reveal ancient trade networks and cultural connections.
Alšovka is a building of the South Moravian Museum in Znojmo, located on Alšova Street and named after the painter Mikoláš Aleš. Originally opened in 1909 as the Emperor Franz Joseph Municipal Girls' Lyceum, it later served as a teacher training institute and an agricultural secondary school. After reconstruction it became the museum's central depository, exhibition hall, and regional education centre. The museum hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural events here.
