Kyla Brox comes from Lancashire (born 1980) and heard African-American music from the cradle - her father Victor was a blues singer. Both parents performed in the original recording cast of Jesus Christ Superstar (Victor as Caiaphas, Annette as "maid by the fire"), so Kyla spent her formative years in the back seat of the family van on permanent British tours. She took the stage in 1992, at age twelve.

Today she is regarded as one of Britain's leading blues and soul singers of her generation. She performs either at the head of the Kyla Brox Band or as a duo with her musical and life partner Danny Blomeley.

Sklepení U císaře Zikmunda occupies a Renaissance townhouse on Horní náměstí in Znojmo, where Emperor Sigismund is said to have stayed. The stone cellar vaults serve as an intimate concert venue - Czech and international musicians perform here regularly as part of JazzFest Znojmo. Alongside jazz and blues evenings, the space also hosts wine tastings.
