Slovenian singer and guitarist Paul Batto has been performing intensively across Europe since 2003 - as a soloist and in a duo with Czech pianist Ondra Kříž, with whom he has recorded numerous award-winning albums. His music draws from blues, swing, and gospel.

Sklepení U císaře Zikmunda occupies a Renaissance townhouse on Horní náměstí in Znojmo, where Emperor Sigismund is said to have stayed. The stone cellar vaults serve as an intimate concert venue - Czech and international musicians perform here regularly as part of JazzFest Znojmo. Alongside jazz and blues evenings, the space also hosts wine tastings.

A Ljubljana-born songwriter now based in Bohemia, shaped by years with an American gospel group and now one of Europe's most active blues performers. On stage he moves between delta blues, soul and spirituals - solo, in duo with pianist Ondřej Kříž, or as a trio with his son Robert Christian.
