Premiere of two comic operas at Centrum Jízdárna in Znojmo. The programme features Cimarosa's Maestro di capella and Salieri's Prima la musica e poi le parole.

Baritone Adam Plachetka and soprano Kateřina Kněžíková perform the leading roles. Tomáš Netopil conducts, with staging by Ondřej Havelka. The SILENTIUM! Ensemble provides the orchestral accompaniment.

About the venue: Jízdárna Centre Znojmo

Centrum Jízdárna is a cultural and creative centre located within the historic Louka Monastery complex in Znojmo. The building, with over 170 years of history and formerly used by the military, underwent a sensitive renovation and opened to the public in 2025. Its multifunctional hall accommodates up to 800 visitors and hosts concerts, theatre performances, balls, congresses, and workshops. The centre also includes studios and classrooms for educational and leisure activities.

About: Adam Plachetka

Adam Plachetka is a Czech bass-baritone who studied at the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts. He performs regularly at major opera houses including the Vienna State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and Glyndebourne. He is particularly noted for his roles in operas by Mozart and Donizetti.

About: SILENTIUM! ensemble

Founded in 2025 by Tereza Válková after her sixteen years with Czech Ensemble Baroque, the ensemble quickly established itself at leading Czech festivals. It performs Renaissance-to-Classicism repertoire on period instruments and regularly presents world premieres of forgotten Baroque works.
