About

Skunk Anansie are a London rock quartet - vocalist Skin, guitarist Ace, bassist Cass and drummer Mark Richardson - who have been active since 1994. They broke through with hard-edged alternative rock and politically charged lyrics, becoming one of Britain's first multi-racial rock bands and headlining Glastonbury in 1999 as the last act of the decade. After a hiatus from 2001 to 2009, the band returned and in May 2025 released their seventh studio album, The Painful Truth, with total career sales exceeding five million records.
