Jan Tříska was a Czech theatre and film actor, one of the most prominent figures of Czech drama in the second half of the 20th century. He was closely associated with the Divadlo na Vinohradech theatre and collaborated with director Jan Kačer. He emigrated to the United States in 1977 and returned to Czech stages after 1989. He died in 2017.
