About

Sto zvířat is a Czech ska band founded in Prague in 1990, widely regarded as the pioneers of ska and rocksteady in the country. Their sound blends reggae and swing, with lyrics written throughout the band's history by Tomáš Belko. Over 35 years they have released 23 albums and played more than 2,500 concerts in the Czech Republic and abroad, winning the Czech Anděl music award in the ska and reggae category in 2008.

What's new

  • 2025-09

    In September 2025, the band launched the autumn part of the anniversary tour THIRTY FIVE - a series of thirteen concerts throughout the country started on September 26 in Ústí nad Labem.

  • 2025-03

    The spring part of the THIRTY FIVE tour started on March 20, 2025 with a sold-out concert at Prague's Rock Café; by the end of summer, the band had performed more than forty shows.

    Before the tour began, the band recorded new compositions at Sono Records studio.

  • 2024-10

    In autumn 2024, the band celebrated twenty years since the release of the album Nikdy nic nebylo with three concerts - former member Petr Ostrouchov and lyricist Tomáš Belko performed as guests.

  • 2024-03

    In spring 2024, the band renewed its lineup - guitarist Honza Šobr (Beruška) and percussionist Miki Nop returned as new reinforcements, and Míra Barabáš joined as the successor to the late Honza Kalina.
