Echoes of Birds

Drama for dancers with the words and thoughts of Josef Topol.

A dance-theatre homage to Josef Topol, Vlastimil Harapesek, Jan Kačer, Marie Tomášová, and Jan Třískа. The project unfolds between movement and word – between dance and literary text – creating a mosaic of forms and stories as a multi-genre dialogue between contemporary and historical artists.

The project is rooted in the literary work of Josef Topol. The title references the production Voices of Birds from the Vinohrady Theatre, which director Jan Kačer brought back to the stage after the Velvet Revolution, restoring a banned author's work. Questions about the meaning of life and the role of art and the artist in society form the foundation of this production.

This is the world premiere of the project.
