Kittie is a Canadian heavy metal band from London, Ontario, founded in 1996 by sisters Morgan and Mercedes Lander. One of the very few all-female acts in heavy metal, they broke through with their gold-certified debut Spit (2000) and built a catalog of six studio albums before going on hiatus in 2011. They returned to the stage in 2022 and released Fire in 2024 - their first new album in thirteen years - on Sumerian Records.
Kittie announced a North American tour Legacy of Fire Tour: 30 Years of Kittie - 16 concerts from June to the end of June 2026, their first full headlining tour in over a decade.
Kittie released the EP Spit XXV (September 19, 2025 on Sumerian Records) - four re-recorded tracks from their debut album for its 25th anniversary, produced again by Garth Richardson.
Kittie announced a European and British headlining tour in June 2025, including a performance at the Rock for People festival in Hradec Králové - the band's first European tour since 2010.
The album Fire (2024) received a nomination for the Juno Award 2025 in the Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year category.
Kittie joined Jinjer as a supporting act on an Australian tour in February 2025, with concerts in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Fremantle.
