Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa, formed in 1995. Known for their aggressive blend of nu-metal and alternative metal, they are equally famous for their distinctive masks and intense live performances. Albums such as „Iowa" (2001) and „All Hope Is Gone" (2008) brought them worldwide recognition.
