Soulfly is a Brazilian-American heavy metal band founded in Phoenix, Arizona in 1997 by Max Cavalera following his departure from Sepultura. The group has always had a strong family dimension - Max's son Zyon Cavalera plays drums, and since 2025 another son, Igor Amadeus Cavalera, holds the bass slot. Across thirteen studio albums, the band has built a reputation for fusing groove and thrash metal with Brazilian tribal rhythms and world music influences.
Soulfly announced a European summer tour Tribal Technology Tour 2026, which includes a stop in Ostrava (August 1) and a series of festivals across the continent.
In September 2026, the band will join forces with their side project Nailbomb for five concerts in Great Britain as part of the Tribal Technology Tour.
On October 24, 2025, Soulfly released their thirteenth studio album Chama through Nuclear Blast Records.
In April 2025, bassist Mike Leon left the band after more than ten years; his place was taken by Max's son Igor Amadeus Cavalera.
Soulfly started the American tour Favela Dystopia 2025 Tour with the band Go Ahead And Die as opening act.
