Canadian metal band Kittie performs at the Brutal Assault 2026 festival in Jaroměř.

About the venue: Fortress Josefov - Underground Passages

Josefov is a remarkably well-preserved baroque fortress built in the 18th century, now forming part of the town of Jaroměř. Its underground network stretches over 45 km, originally designed for military defence and troop movement. Guided tours take visitors through the casemates and tunnels beneath the fortified streets above.

Canadian metal pioneers Kittie - sisters Morgan and Mercedes Lander alongside guitarist Tara McLeod and bassist Ivy Vujic - came back after thirteen years of silence with the album Fire (2024), then marked Spit's 25th anniversary with a re-recorded EP in 2025. Their current European run is the band's first on the continent since 2010.
