Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750) was a German composer and organist of the Baroque era, widely regarded as one of the greatest composers in the history of music. His output spans cantatas, fugues, orchestral suites, and organ works. Among his best-known pieces is the Toccata and Fugue in D minor BWV 565.
