Children's Tours at Loučeň Castle

Children's tours at Loučeň Castle are specially designed for the youngest visitors and are recommended from age 3 onwards. Children will discover the castle from their own perspective, guided by Princess Marie, Princess Karolína, or the castle steward. They will learn how people lived and dined at the castle, what toys noble children enjoyed, and what they had that children today don't. During the tour, children can sing in the music salon where Bedřich Smetana once performed, sit at the prince's table in the castle dining room, search for a lost castle cat, or find secret doors. If the princess, prince, or the White Lady are in the mood, they will even take children to the castle attic, which is normally inaccessible during regular tours. Tours take place in April, May, June, September, October, and November on weekends and daily during summer holidays, always at 12:30 and 14:30. The castle recommends purchasing tickets in advance online. Parking is available for private cars directly in front of the grounds (100 CZK); if full, there is an alternative parking lot near the sokol building about 500 m away. Loučeň Castle is a romantic Baroque monument surrounded by an extensive English park with a unique collection of 12 labyrinths and mazes.
