Opening Concert for Plzeň Region: In the Name of Love

The festival's opening evening celebrates love as a spiritual value that unites people regardless of faith.

The programme features a crossover from Baroque music by J. S. Bach through film music from Ennio Morricone's "The Mission" to "Rondo Veneziano". The timeless verses of the biblical Song of Songs will be performed by Jan Čenský, along with Josef Vejvoda's "Concerto for Viola", composed on Jewish musical motifs, featuring Jitka Hosprová.

The concert is held with the support of the Rudolf Levy Foundation and the Jewish Community of Plzeň.
