About the venue

The summer retreat of Antonín Dvořák at Vysoká u Příbrami, where the composer spent his holidays from 1884 onwards and wrote several major works, including Symphony No. 8. The villa is now a museum with period furniture and personal mementos. In the adjoining park stands Dvořák's famous dovecote, one of the most recognisable features of the estate.
