Not Just Dvořák at Vysoká: Věra Müllerová & Codex Temporis

Piano recital by Věra Müllerová, head of the piano department at Plzeň Conservatory, in collaboration with the Příbram church choir Codex Temporis. The programme features Antonín Dvořák's Biblical Songs alongside works by J. S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, F. Chopin, J. Suk, A. Dvořák and others.

Věra Müllerová studied piano at the Music Faculty of Charles University in Prague under Prof. Jan Panenka and completed an internship with Prof. J. S. Tkač at the Kyiv Conservatory of Music. The conservatory recommended her for the International Piano Competition in Tokyo (1981), where she was the only Czech participant to advance to the final round. Since 1980 she has taught solo piano at Plzeň Conservatory; from 2001 she has collaborated externally with the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň, and since 2011 has headed its piano department.

She performs throughout Europe, Japan, Israel and the USA, regularly serves on the jury of the Anglo-Czech Trust international competition in London, and leads masterclasses in Frensham, England. She collaborates with Czech Radio and Czech Television and records for various companies.

Codex Temporis is a church choir from Příbram that, in addition to accompanying services, also performs at concerts under the direction of choirmaster Lukáš Marek.
