Kateřina Marie Tichá and Bandjeez
Kateřina Marie Tichá, a native of Vlašim, was nominated for the Czech Nightingale award in 2013 in the Discovery of the Year category. That same year, she began a collaboration with the newly formed band Jelen that continues to this day. In 2015, she released the five-song EP Otazníky, and in 2020 her debut album Sami, which became one of the most pleasant surprises on the Czech music scene. The singer followed up her award-winning debut with the highly anticipated second studio album Plamen - her first recorded in collaboration with the band Bandjeez, which she took over from David Stypka. The new album was again produced by the multi-talented Ondřej Turták and by all accounts represents one of the musical events of the year.
The year 2024 proved to be a breakthrough for the charismatic singer. Her album Plamen, released in early February, was among the year's major musical events. The album ranked among the best-selling albums in the Czech Republic, and the single reached 3rd place among the most-played songs (including international competition) on Czech radio. The eponymous tour with 13 stops sold out completely, including two concerts at Prague's Lucerna Music Bar and Brno's Sono Music Club. Due to the unprecedented success of the tour, an additional 18 concerts were added across the Czech Republic. Attendees agree that Kateřina Marie Tichá's concerts accompanied by the Bandjeez band and brass section are an uplifting and emotional experience. There is no doubt: Czech pop has given birth to a star. Don't miss it!
