Front Line Fest - Open Air - 2026

The third edition of a metal festival at Brno's Špilberk Castle takes place on 25 July 2026. The programme features nine bands.

HIDEOUS DIVINITY (technical/brutal death metal, IT)
An Italian technical/brutal death metal band from Rome, active since 2007. Released albums «Obeisance Rising» (2012), «Cobra Verde» (2014), and «Adveniens» (2017) on Unique Leader Records, then moved to Century Media Records, where «Simulacrum» (2019) and «Unextinct» (2024) were released.

MACHIAVELLIAN GOD (melodic death metal, RO)
A Bucharest-based band founded in 2017, combining melodic death metal with elements of doom, black, and atmospheric metal. Their lyrics draw from philosophy and ancient mythology. Their latest album «Beyond The Void» is a conceptual journey from nihilism to an existential search for meaning.

VANGUARD (death metal, CZ)
A Brno-based band working in melodic and technical death metal. The backbone of their live set is the album «III: Pyrrhic Sequence», though this year they will also bring new material recorded with their current lineup.

VERMOCRACY (melodic death metal, AT)
An Austrian band founded in 2017, inspired by melodic death metal of the 1990s and early 2000s. They have performed at festivals such as Kaltenbach Open Air and Break Out Open Air 2025. Their third studio album «Of Failing and Fading» was released on 9 January 2026.

REFORE (thrash metal, CZ)
A thrash metal band from Zlín, formed in 2016. They have played with Machine Head, D.R.I., Napalm Death, and Pro-Pain, and participated in festivals including Obscene Extreme, Masters of Rock, Basinfirefest, and Czech Death Fest. Their second full-length album «Illusion of Existence» was released in February 2026.
