Group Meeting for Women with Endometriosis
Four hours for a body that often needs to endure too much. Living with endometriosis means constant searching - what to eat, how to exercise, what to change, how to ease pain, how to support your cycle. This gathering invites you somewhere different: for a few hours, we don't need to fix our bodies. We can pause, turn our attention inward, and become curious about what is happening right now.
We will move, breathe, touch our own belly, create, and talk - and simply be among women who have their own experience with endometriosis. The meeting connects understanding endometriosis with gentle work with the body, breath, touch, and creativity. I will guide you through each part step by step; no prior experience with any technique is needed, and there is no "right" way to do things.
We begin slowly with a shared introduction - creating a space where we get to know each other and each person can bring her own experience with endometriosis. Sharing is always voluntary; you can say as much as feels comfortable. This is followed by a brief introduction to endometriosis theory and connections that help us better understand what happens in the body - no long lecture, just theory as support for the practical work.
Then we shift attention from thinking to the body. Through gentle movement and breath, we will explore the belly and pelvic area, tension and possibilities for release, without performance and without needing to achieve any particular state. I will show you simple self-massage of the belly that you can take home, and we will also try gentle work around the navel area and ways to work with belly tension through your own touch - each person works only with her own body and within a range that feels comfortable. The final part is devoted to shared creativity: using color and image, we will look at our cycle from a different angle. You don't need to know how to paint, the result doesn't need to be a "beautiful picture" - we use creativity as another way to give space to what is sometimes hard to express in words.
