Mighty Sounds 2026
The 19th edition of Mighty Sounds festival at Tábor Airport features punk, ska, hardcore and rockabilly. Headliners include legends such as The Selecter, Pennywise, Agnostic Front and The Exploited.
The Selecter is a British ska band formed in Coventry in the late 1970s as part of the 2 Tone movement. Known for blending ska, new wave and punk, the group is fronted by the charismatic Pauline Black. Their hits include "On My Radio" and "Three Minute Hero".
The Selecter performed as the support band for Steel Pulse on their 50th anniversary tour, which included five British cities including Birmingham.
The documentary film Pauline Black: A 2-Tone Story was screened at Bradford's Pictureville Cinema with a subsequent Q&A with Pauline Black.
The documentary film Pauline Black: A 2-Tone Story (directed by Jane Mingay) had its world premiere at the London Film Festival BFI in October 2024.
2025 was the 45th anniversary of the debut album Too Much Pressure.
Frontwoman Pauline Black received the OBE title in the New Year Honours for services to the entertainment industry.
