About

The Exploited are a Scottish punk band from Edinburgh, formed in 1979, and one of the most enduring names of the UK's second punk wave. Frontman Wattie Buchan has led the band from the start, his red mohawk and uncompromising stance becoming iconic. Their 1981 debut Punks Not Dead topped the UK independent chart and reached number 20 nationally. Over the following decades the band shifted toward crossover thrash, with Fuck the System (2003) remaining their last studio record.
