Punk & Oi Advent 2026 - Cockney Rejects
Punk and Oi Advent celebration featuring bands managed since 1980, headlined by Cockney Rejects and other acts from the organizer's catalogue.
Cockney Rejects are an English punk/oi! band formed in 1978 in London's East End by brothers Jeff and Micky Geggus. They are counted among the founders of the oi! genre - their song "Oi, Oi, Oi" gave the style its name - and became widely known for their cover of the football anthem "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles", played in tribute to West Ham United. The band has gone through numerous lineup changes over the decades and, despite hiatuses, still performs today under singer Jeff "Stinky" Turner.
Singer Jeff Turner released a continuation of his autobiography titled Cockney Reject II - I Love Being Me.
Former guitarist Mick Geggus founded a new band Punch Drunk Saints, which released its debut album in 2025.
The band was left by longtime members Micky Geggus, Vince Riordan and Joe Sansome; singer Jeff Turner subsequently assembled a new lineup with guitarist Olga (Toy Dolls), bassist JJ Kaos (Last Resort, Anti-Nowhere League) and drummer Ray Dust (The Business, Argy Bargy).
The band admitted in an interview for Balkanrock that it is not sure whether punk in 2025 is still authentic, and that the glorious days of the genre are gone.
The band has a packed concert schedule until the end of January 2027, including a show in Teplice in December 2026.
