Dwarves
American indie rock band Dwarves plays at Kabinet múz in Brno.
Dwarves are an American punk band who started in mid-1980s Chicago as Suburban Nightmare before relocating to San Francisco. The group's core - vocalist Blag Dahlia and guitarist HeWhoCannotBeNamed - built a cult following on raw, high-velocity punk that moves between hardcore, garage rock, and pop-punk, backed by notoriously chaotic live shows. Their 1990 Sub Pop album Blood Guts & Pussy made them underground legends; sixteen-plus studio records later, their music has also surfaced in mainstream films and television.
Dwarves released their 17th studio album Jenkem (June 5, 2026, Greedy Records), which returns to the aggressive sound of the Blood Guts & Pussy era.
The band announced an extensive American and European tour for the album Jenkem, including stops at the Hellfest, Obscene Extreme, and Azkena Rock Festival festivals.
For collaboration on the album Jenkem, Blag Dahlia invited producer Andy Carpenter, who previously worked with Supersuckers, Strung Out, and Screeching Weasel.
On Record Store Day 2025, the band released a limited vinyl edition of Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows with liner notes by the original band members.
