Nastassja Martin is a French anthropologist and writer specialising in Arctic and subarctic societies and shamanism. She is best known for her memoir Croire aux fauves (2019), in which she recounts surviving a bear attack during fieldwork in Kamchatka and the profound transformation that followed.
