Schools – In the Gallery with a Sketchbook: 1939–2021: The End of the Black and White Era
100 Kč / 12–28 people, 2 pedagogové free
The "In the Gallery with a Sketchbook" programme is designed for school groups and takes place in the exhibition "1939–2021: The End of the Black and White Era" at the Veletržní palác. The focus is on students' perception of artworks and their own creative work — students sketch directly in the gallery and create personal portfolios of their interpretations.
Teachers can choose a single visit to a specific exhibition, or return with their students to gradually explore other exhibitions at the Veletržní palác (a triptych of the 19th–21st centuries) and continuously expand their extensive sketchbook. The selection of artists the programme relates to depends on each student's individual choice.
Programme objectives:
- Initiate a process of individual encounter with artworks.
- Record impressions through sketching.
- Become familiar with a diverse range of artistic approaches.
- Create a portfolio documenting your own creative interpretations.
Target group: Primary school grades 2–8, secondary school / Duration: 60–120 minutes / Price: 100 CZK / 12–28 people, 2 teachers free
