Schools – Poem in a Loop

This programme explores the life and work of poet and visual artist Jiří Kolář, creator of many original artistic techniques. Participants will learn to read, untangle and tie their own poem in a loop, and together discover what lies behind his concrete (evident) poetry.

Within the exhibition "The End of Black and White Era", students will create a visual poem and try assembling poems according to instructions. The programme develops the ability to interpret artworks based on personal perspectives and in the context of the second half of the 20th century, while focusing on communication skills and work with metaphor.
