About

Gogol Bordello is a New York-based band founded in 1999 by Ukrainian frontman Eugene Hütz, who fled Ukraine as a refugee and built the group around musicians from across the globe. Their sound fuses punk rock with Romani and Eastern European folk - a genre they helped define as gypsy punk - and their live shows are known for their theatrical, high-energy chaos. Hütz co-starred with Elijah Wood in the 2005 film Everything Is Illuminated, and the band released their ninth studio album We Mean It, Man! in February 2026 on their own Casa Gogol Records label.
