About

Docuku is a folk-beat band from Valašské Meziříčí in the Czech Moravian-Wallachian region, blending folk songs from Moravia, Slovakia, Poland and the Balkans with rock and world music since late 2001. The group is led by singer and multi-instrumentalist Jiří Buksa. Their debut album Meziřečí (2004) and the third record Kdybych já věděl (2013) were both nominated for the Czech Anděl Award in the world music category, and in 2014 the band received a gold disc for 6,000 copies sold across all three releases.
