Tomáš Kočko & Orchestr is a Moravian band from Frýdek-Místek, active since 1995, weaving traditional folk music, world music and metal into a single sound. Frontman Tomáš Kočko (born 1972) trained in musical theatre and opera direction at JAMU in Brno, and first gained wider recognition by setting the Wallachian dialect poetry of Ladislav Nezdařil to music. The band has won two Anděl Awards for world music album of the year (2006 and 2012), and four of their albums have charted in the TOP 20 of the World Music Charts Europe.
Album Perperuna ranked 9th in World Music Charts Europe in April 2026.
Album Perperuna was released on February 2, 2026, and in March became available on streaming platforms for all listeners.
Tomáš Kočko & Orchestr released the album Perperuna on February 2, 2026, dedicated to the ancient Slavic thunder god Perun.

In summer 2026, the band will perform a series of festival shows as part of the FolkmetaLOVE tour, including the international Mediaval Festival in the German city of Selb.
