
CHKO Moravský kras celebrates 70 years
Celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Moravský kras Protected Landscape Area with a programme of events at the Nature House.
A visitor centre opened in 2015 at Skalní mlýn, the main starting point for the Punkva Caves and the Macocha Abyss. Its permanent interactive exhibition traces the geological story of the Moravian Karst from the Devonian sea to the present day, with touch-screen panels, a 3D cinema and a children's play corner. The building also houses a tourist information centre and runs educational programmes for school groups.
