exhibition culture outdoor

To mark the 70th anniversary of the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area, a comparative photography exhibition has been prepared. Historical photographs paired with contemporary images of the same locations reveal how the landscape, nature, and life in the Moravian Karst have transformed over several decades.

About the venue: House of Nature Moravian Karst

A visitor centre opened in 2015 at Skalní mlýn, the main starting point for the Punkva Caves and the Macocha Abyss. Its permanent interactive exhibition traces the geological story of the Moravian Karst from the Devonian sea to the present day, with touch-screen panels, a 3D cinema and a children's play corner. The building also houses a tourist information centre and runs educational programmes for school groups.
