Tequila and Mezcal Tasting and Masterclass
An interactive masterclass on agave spirits led by Štěpán Šimánek, Czech Republic barman champion and winner of numerous national and international bartending competitions, including tequila-focused contests. He draws his expertise from years of hands-on experience and travels through Mexico, where he has visited agave fields and renowned distilleries directly with producers.
Participants will taste six samples (4× tequila: blanco, still strength, reposado, añejo; 2× artisanal mezcal) and discover why quality agave spirits belong in the category of spirits to be savoured slowly, not shot glasses with salt and lime. The interactive presentation covers the entire production process - from agave harvest through roasting, fermentation, and distillation to ageing - and explains concepts such as 100% Agave, NOM, Additive Free, and Still Strength.
The price includes tasting samples (6× 20 ml), a guided masterclass with presentation lasting 90-120 minutes, and water with light snacks throughout the tasting.
The workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced spirits enthusiasts. Attendance without purchasing the tasting is not permitted. Participants must be 18 years or older. The event is conducted in Czech.
