Hrady CZ 2026 - Hradec nad Moravicí
Hradec nad Moravicí, Kajlovec
Hrady CZ is a summer cultural festival whose 21st edition will take place in summer 2026 across eight historic monuments in various regions of the Czech Republic. The programme features performances by leading Czech and Slovak musicians — among the first confirmed performers are Daniel Landa, Rybičky 48, Mirai, Trautenberk, and MIG 21.
The festival also aims to highlight historic monuments in the regions. Saturday tickets include guided tours of the permanent exhibitions at the castles.
Hradec nad Moravicí has a rich history: a Slavic stronghold from the 8th century was succeeded around the mid-11th century by a princely castle of the Přemyslids, which two centuries later was rebuilt by Přemysl Otakar II into a fortified residence. From the early 16th century, Czech rulers pledged the local estates; the last pledgee was Kašpar Pruskovský of Pruskova, who acquired the castle as hereditary property in 1585 and began its Renaissance reconstruction into a comfortable residence with ornamental gardens and a forest park.
