Brixtn is a Czech indie-pop/electropop duo from Nová Pláň, formed in 2017 by brothers Matěj Jelen (vocals, bass) and Štěpán Jelen (drums). The name comes from London's Brixton, where a Nothing But Thieves concert sparked the idea for the band. Since 2023 they operate as a two-piece, with two studio albums and a nomination for Discovery of the Year at the 2024 Český slavík awards to their name.
Brixtn released the single 10 OUT OF 10, mixed by American engineer Chris Lord-Alge (Green Day, U2, Foo Fighters), and announced a spring club tour with the band Trocha Klidu.
The spring tour Brixtn x Trocha Klidu 2026 started on March 11 in Olomouc and will culminate on April 10 in Plzen, with a key stop at Prague's Palác Akropolis.
Brixtn performed at an open-air concert at Cross Club in Holesovice (July 19, 2025) together with Šimon Opp; songs from the album Konec snů and new tracks were performed.
Brixtn released their second album Konec snů (14 tracks, Supraphon/Brainzone) and christened it live - first on November 11 in Olomouc, then on November 18 at Prague's Rock Café.
The band received a nomination for the Objev roku award in the Český slavík 2024 competition and performed the song Karma live at the gala evening on November 29.
