Silent Stream of Godless Elegy is a folk metal band from Hranice in Moravia, Czech Republic, active since 1995. Their sound weaves doom metal together with traditional Moravian instruments - violin, cello and dulcimer - and contrasting male and female vocals. Over three decades they have released seven studio albums and won the Czech Anděl Award twice in the hard & heavy category, making them one of the most decorated domestic metal acts.
The band performed two stops of the JINÁ tour 2025 - on January 9 at the Brno Kabinet MÚZ and on January 10 at the Ostrava Barrák music club.
On January 31, 2024, the band released the acoustic album Jiná - their first purely acoustic album, with arrangements prepared by Michaela Niké Vopálecká.
The album Jiná contains acoustic versions of songs from the albums Relic Dances, Návaz and Smutnice and one new song "Pod Babíma horama".
The album Jiná was included in the Bandcamp Radio program (August 2024).
The album Smutnice (2018) was produced by Israeli musician Yossi Sassi (ex-Orphaned Land) and mixed by Roland Grapow (ex-Helloween).
