Petr Ulrych (born 21 February 1944 in Hradec Králové) is a Czech singer, composer and lyricist who has worked as a professional musician since 1966. Together with his sister Hana Ulrychová he leads the band Javory, which from the 1970s onward blended Moravian folk music with rock and world music in a way that had no real precedent in Czechoslovakia. He has also composed for film and theatre, winning the Alfréd Radok Award for his score to the musical Koločava. In 2024 he celebrated his 80th birthday and 60 years on stage.
Javory Beat and Hradišťan performed their jubilee 100th joint concert on November 19, 2025 in Žďár nad Sázavou.
Javory Beat and Hradišťan continue their tour in 2026 as well - among the announced stops are Prague (Hybernia), Valašské Meziříčí, Brno and Pardubice.
The concert in Zlín scheduled for November 30, 2024 was postponed to January 27, 2025 due to acute health complications in the band.
In 2024, Petr Ulrych celebrated his 80th birthday and together with his sister Hana 60 years of joint performances; the siblings prepared a series of jubilee concerts for the anniversary.
The Supraphon publishing house released in 2019 a jubilee reissue of the legendary album Nikola Šuhaj loupežník (1974) with seven bonus songs.
