About

Norbi Kovács (born 3 July 1968 in Šahy) is a guitarist and vocalist of Slovak-Hungarian origin who has lived in Prague since 1992. He has played alongside Radůza, Petr Skoumal and Mário Bihári, and is a long-standing member of Ivan Hlas Trio, Lokomotiva and Kybabu. His two solo records - the instrumental Takžetak (2013) and 13:31 (2018) - draw on ragtime, folk, blues and gypsy jazz, and he has scored several Czech films including U mě dobrý and Rodiče napořád. Photography is his second passion, with multiple exhibitions to his name.
