Jethro Tull are a British rock band formed in Blackpool in 1967, led throughout their history by Ian Anderson - vocalist, flautist and sole constant member. Their sound fuses progressive rock, English folk and blues, with landmark albums Aqualung (1971) and Thick as a Brick (1972) among the best-known records of the classic rock era; worldwide sales are estimated at 60 million albums. After a hiatus from studio work, the band returned with three new albums between 2022 and 2025, the latest being Curious Ruminant.
